Magnet Application Deadline
This may be an important deadline for you! Please remember that only students who live in the Roberts school zone, or those with an approved magnet transfer will be able to return to Roberts next year. If you have moved and no longer live in the Roberts school zone, or are attending Roberts on any type of transfer other than a Magnet Transfer, you must complete a Magnet Application prior to the Friday deadline for an opportunity to return to Roberts for the 2013-14 school year. While we cannot guarantee the offer of a magnet transfer, we will evaluate enrollment projections and will give priority to applicants who are currently attending Roberts. If you are not sure if you need to submit a magnet transfer, you may contact Ms. Ballard at jballard@houstonisd.org.
Perfect Attendance
Next week we will be honoring students with perfect attendance for the Fall semester with a commendation letter in the Tuesday folder. Students will also be receiving a gift card for a free milk shake from our local business partner, Jerry Built Burgers. This is being sent through the Tuesday folder to give you the option of how or if it is used by your child. We thank Jerry Built for providing us with the perfect attendance reward cards, and their continued support of Roberts Elementary.
